I recently acquired this 1/6 scale figure of US President Elect Barack Obama (made by DiD Corporation) through the help of my friend Nelson Ang. Admittedly, it was an impulse buy at the time. But I figured that since Mr. Oabama was making history, this was an expense I could easily justify to the missus.

We placed our order directly at DiD Corp’s web site (www.onlinedid.com). The thing that impressed me the most was the shipping – it cost all of ten bucks to ship 2 units via EMS (Express Mail Service). The transit time took only 24 hours to reach the Philippines and just another 48 hours for the actual arrival at our ship-to address. Pretty cheap for a secure shipping method.

The action figure set was equally impressive. Mr. Obama is fully suited, comes with 2 interchangeable heads, 2 sets of extra hands (although I have to admit, I’m puzzled why he comes with a trigger hand), a wrist watch, an extra neck tie, a wooden bar stool, a US flag with stand, and a microphone.
