Official Photos and Info of Hot Toys’ Latest Joker Figure

We finally received the official photos of the much anticipated latest version of the Joker from Hot Toys as they proudly announce their latest line MMS DX (Movie Masterpiece Deluxe), featuring a newly developed technology called Parallel Eyeball Rolling System (PERS) with Colored Translucent Iris. This line debuts with THE JOKER from The Dark Knight:

On my way to the bank yesterday, I almost missed seeing this streamer. It wasn’t prominently displayed and it didn’t really stand out. As a matter of fact, it was an exceedingly ordinary streamer. And had it not been due to the usual daily traffic jam in the area, I probably wouldn’t have noticed it. So why take a photo and waste precious web space on it?

Well for one, the smaller streamer beneath the main ad contained an offer that was near impossible to ignore.

Just received another teaser photo from Hot Toys. So we are indeed expecting 2 new versions of the Joker. It’s not just the Joker in police uniform, but also another version of him from the scene where he exposes a string of grenades inside his purple coat.

First they released a teaser close-up photo of the Joker sans clown make-up. Then they selected a random number of lucky recipients and gave out a forensic evidence kit containing a swatch of clothing material (presumably from the actual fabric to be used for the police uniform). And now Hot Toys unveils a clearer photo of the Joker in Gotham City Police Department uniform.

I’ve been a fan of Mythbusters since episode 1. I’m further delighted by the fact that even my kids (who are in their teens) love watching every episode, including reruns. So when this video of Adam Savage giving a talk was posted on their Facebook page, I naturally had to watch it.

Forensic Evidence: a new Joker collectible from Hot Toys

Hot Toys recently announced that they were to release a 3rd version of The Joker under their Movie Masterpieces: The Dark Knight series. This version was to be clothed in a police uniform depicting the movie scene where the Joker takes an assassination attempt against the Gotham City Mayor. But apart from a teaser photo that barely revealed the Joker’s face, not much else have been provided by Hot Toys in terms of details or clues about the upcoming figure.

Maybe so, until now…

Terminator Salvation John Connor by Hot Toys

Hot Toys proudly presents the first human-kind MMS figure from the upcoming sci-fi movie in 2009 – Terminator Salvation: 1/6th scale John Connor collectible figures.

To date, none of the John Connor product with Christian Bale’s likeness has been approved so far, with the exception of Hot Toys’ 1/6th scale John Connor collectible figure.
