I’ve been a fan of Mythbusters since episode 1. I’m further delighted by the fact that even my kids (who are in their teens) love watching every episode, including reruns. So when this video of Adam Savage giving a talk was posted on their Facebook page, I naturally had to watch it.
You might be wondering why I’m posting the video here on a site about action figures. Seems odd and out of place. Well, there are a few good reasons…

Everyone who’s into the DC Animated Universe must know Cason Pilliod (a.k.a. Casimir). He’s the guy who makes his own toys and action figures based on Bruce Timm’s art and style. Well, I’ve recently been the fortunate recipient of one of his custom Bane figures. I won’t go into the details of how some series of events took place leading to my owning such a beautiful piece. I’m just here to show off :-)

Jason So, an AFHUB old-timer and a self-confessed Alex Ross devotee, recently had a couple of his amazing customs featured in the latest issue of Toyfare Magazine. His Booster Gold and Blue Beetle based on Alex Ross’ art and style found their way to page 7 of Issue #134.

Sometime late last year, Grundy showed me a custom Black Adam he was working on. It was a commissioned job and was done in the JLU animated style. Somehow, the client backed out from the deal late in the game. That may seem unfortunate, but not for me. …
