Gi Joe 1985 Cobra Hydrofoil
Lamprey – Vehicle driver
Pulling on this tab will retract the “skis” underneath.
Removable engine cover and depth charges
Mounted turrets
Torpedoes
Opening hatches
Steering wheel and command console.
Cannons
Pushing on this plunger reveals the missile launchers.
Admittedly I don’t have the searchlight lens. It’s just too dang expensive to pay for it.
I think this may well be my favorite Cobra water-attack vehicle.
I was hoping to put some 25th Anniversary Lampreys (from the Defense of Cobra Island set) and Cobra Eels into the shot but then I remembered they were all in storage and I couldn’t get to them on the weekend. Ah well… maybe next time…

Gi Joe 2015 – Silent Strike vehicle battle set Box is huge!!! 22.5” x 13.5” x 4” Note that the tray really has a blank space. This used to house the vest for the HISS Driver figure before they decided to pre-attach the vest to the figure. HISS Driver I like the reuse of the Armored Cobra Commander body, but I loath the silly vest. HISS Gunner They’re essentially the same figure, just with different “pants”… lol.. The Orange HISS Tank I like the rail guns. A very nice modern take on this vehicle. One side note, this vehicle comes disassembled, but assembly is only one-way. Meaning you can’t take it apart anymore once you slap the halves of the tank together. Ace I like the colors on this version of Ace. Not too crazy about the miss-painted eyes though. The painted eyes on the version that came with the 30th Anniv. Skystriker looked better. The Red Hood!!! Lol… parachute or fanny-pack? You decide! Sightline. This figure was made in honor of a Gi Joe collector who passed away not too long ago. I think it’s cool of Hasbro to make this figure for him. Knife and pistol Shovel and Radio Sniper Rifle Laptop These two are supposed to be the members of a new team concept Hasbro is spinning now, the Wolf Squad. I’m not sure who else is going to be a part of this new team (man, for an “elite” team, the Joes sure have a lot of… erm, “elite” subteams….) Wolf Squad Skystriker Wolf Squad Gooooooooooo… C0ckpit still only fits one figure. Looks like Hasbro cut costs and removed the flip up HUD Let the battle begin! I'd like to thank my wife for lugging this huge thing home from Singapore. Gold

Gi Joe 2015 – Rock Rampage 3pack
I’m really glad my wife was able to get this for me in Singapore. It seems this won’t be coming out locally (again, tsk).

Gi Joe FSS 3.0 Wave 6 (Big Ben and Crimson Guard Immortal)
Big Ben
I’ve always loved the thought of a SAF operative working with the Joes. Pretty cool character.
Grenades!!
I’ll probably skip opening this guy, I’ve got more than enough Crimson Guards. I wish I could get the flag though. The flag looks nice.

Gi Joe FSS 3.0 13th figure – Frostbite
Sniper Rifle
Wrench and water canteen?
Finally!!!! With this figure, we finally get all of the Sunbow Era Gi Joes! I wish I had time to break out all the Joes for a team shot but work and life gets in the way… Sigh. Still it feels really good to complete a set. The Club will be focusing on the DIC Era characters next FSS. I think it’s a safe bet we’ll get all of them in Modern Era sculpts soon.

Marvel Legends Avengers Age of Ultron - Thor, Black Widow, Bruce Banner, Hawkeye 4 pack
Thor
I love the new headsculpt on this figure.
Probably the best figure in the set.
Black Widow
Ugh… Super glue residue. Terrible QC… Luckily it’s easily wiped off.
Still doesn’t capture Scarlet Johanson’s look quite right.
Escrima sticks.
Bruce Banner
For some reason, when I see this figure, I keep thinking of wrestling managers…..
“You won’t like me when I’m angry.”
Hawkeye
The new headsculpt is good. But I do wish he came with the proper attire based from Age of Ultron.
Also, would it kill you Hasbro to include a freaking arrow!?!?!?
Avengers Assemble!!

Marvel Legends Avengers - Ultron, Hulk, White Vision 3 pack Ultron Not too crazy about the weird orbs on his body. Hulk Reuse of the Avengers Age of Ultron Hulk body. Not bad, but I think the old Toybiz Face Off Hulk is better. White Vision I love the “ghosting” effect on this figure. Probably the only reason why I got this set. Naked feet. Overall, a “meh” boxset. In retrospect, I think I should’ve passed on this. Ah well… Gold

Pixels Movie Softdrink Tumbler
I got this on whim, I didn’t imagine it would be perfect in scale for 6” figures. Pretty sweet! I’ll have to hunt down the Donkey Kong and Galaga versions (same design, just different game “screen” sticker).

Marvel Age of Ultron 3.75” Vision
Sheesh I am so relieved I was able to grab this figure. Hard to get it since it’s one per case.

Transformers Choro QT-23 Optimus Prime
I’m not exactly sure where this figure is based on but it’s not the TF4 Prime (I only found out that the QT-01 is the TF4 Prime after getting this one).

Transformers Combiner Wars Battle Core Optimus Prime Heh, here’s an interesting take on Prime’s head. Comparison with Red Prime Optimus Maximus I was tempted to build a proper Optimus Maximus based on the IDW Comics appearance, it requires swapping the white head onto the red Prime’s body. But got lazy. Takara has teased a possible release of this figure. It will most likely be closer to the IDW colors I think. Gold

Transformers Takara Unite Wars UW-02 Menasor
Illustration on the back of the manual.
Motormaster
Comparison with Hasbro (Takara on the left).
Drag Strip
It wasn’t until I saw the Takara manual that I realized you could equip the Menasor hand/feet as a shield on this guy.
Comparison with the Hasbro.
Dead End
Comparison with Hasbro
Breakdown
Comparison with Hasbro
Wildrider
Wildrider is actually a retool of Dead End.
The original Stunticons complete!
Transform into Menasor!
Again, here’s an interesting take on the smokestacks, going by the box illustration.
But I prefer to position it into the 12 O’ Clock position.
Open chest
I wish they made decent gun for this guy.
Gee-Wun style
Interesting note, unlike the US version, the Takara version actually has the two of the same hand/feet parts (the Hasbro version has 4 different types of parts).
