I haven't gotten Screamer yet (waiting to see if the rumors are true that Takara will repackage him in an MPC box) but judging from Skywarp, yes, the transformation is very complex but satisfying.

Well, the Japan version of the US "Anime accurate" Starscream is out and so far the toy looks identical to the Hasbro version (based on the pics of the box anyway). Geez.. it took Takara 5 months to slap on a sticker on the box?? Hope there's more to it than meets the eye.

Update.


I was able to compare both the Walmart and the Takara versions of the Anime Color Starscream at a local store the other day.

Holding them together side by side, I can officially say they are virtually identical, down to the paint, weathering, plastic color, mold, etc. Everything except for the sticker on the box. The only thing I can't account for is the quality of the joints since I never got the Walmart version.


Upon getting the Takara version and opening it, the funny part is even the manual is in English. They only added a piece of paper insert regarding Takara's website. That's it.


Hope this helps those who already have the Walmart version and are thinking of getting a Takara version.
