Hot Toys Bruce Wayne in a Cheap Suit

Posted by: vader at 6:09 pm on Monday, October 13, 2008

I attached the Bruce Wayne head sculpt that came with my Hot Toys Batman original costume figure on to a Hot Toys Caucasian Truetype body. The “men in black” suit came from the Reservoir Dogs Mr. White figure by Palisades.

I found these on clearance so I picked one up for this particular kit-bash. They were marked down to just P600 (roughly US$12.67 at today’s exchange rate).

It was a pain taking off the suit from the Palisades figure because it was sewn permanently on to the body. Buttons on the inner shirt don’t really open, and the pants didn’t have a fly. It took me about 30 minutes struggling to take off the entire garb and to put them on to the Truetype (which was beefier) body. I actually ripped the side of the inner shirt in the process.

Overall, not too bad. It’s a cheap placeholder until I get a decent set of threads for the billionaire playboy.

Thanks for the tip, was quite tempted to get one, to put on my Sideshow James Bond, but seeing the pain in taking the suit off, not worth it for me
