During their panel at the recently concluded New York Comic Con, Mattel unveiled several new Justice League Unlimited action figures scheduled for release this year.

The initial batch will be made available in August 2008 only at Target Stores in the US. Mattel, however, is quick to add that they are working on international distribution, so as not to alienate a large number of non-US collectors. They announced 16 brand new mainline figures along with several fan requested repaints for this year. Most characters will have 5 POA (original releases and redecos).

Wave 1 singles will include Classic Detective Batman, Superman (Black Suit), Kilowog, Stargirl w/ Star rod, Hawkman w/ Mace. One of the 3-packs will consist of Superman, Huntress, and Galatea and another set to contain Green Lantern, Supergirl, Captain Atom.

The Attack from Apokolips 6-pack will have Mr. Miracle, Superman, Lashina, Forager, Darkseid, and Mantis. And responding to fan clamor, Mattel will be re-releasing the Grodd Strikes 6-pack featuring Flash, Red Hood (in blue suit), Grodd (darker gray), Batman, Superman, and Lex Luthor (new olive garb).

Last but certainly not least, Giganta Large Scale Figure (Flash is not included, shown only for scale) will be this year’s San Diego Comic-Con Exclusive! She will come with a 4¾ inch version of herself and will sell for $20 at the Mattel booth.
