Everyone who’s into the DC Animated Universe must know Cason Pilliod (a.k.a. Casimir). He’s the guy who makes his own toys and action figures based on Bruce Timm’s art and style. Well, I’ve recently been the fortunate recipient of one of his custom Bane figures. I won’t go into the details of how some series of events took place leading to my owning such a beautiful piece. I’m just here to show off :-)

If you visit Casimir’s web site and click on “Amazing Creations”, you’ll find the detailed recipe on how he built Bane. I’m proud to have been able to play a small but non-creative part of the building process. As you can see, I’m not just here to show off, but to gloat as well. OK, so I was just an extra :-)

I have always admired what I see on Casimir’s web site. But holding the real thing in my hands is a totally different experience. The quality of work is just fantastic.

On a related note, MattyCollector.com will soon be making a 4-pack set available for online purchase which will include Bane, Clock King, Harley Quinn and Scarecrow. I’m happy to know that I currently own a version of Bane that is already in the correct scale.
