Jon Schnepp, producer/director of Metalocalypse and Grimm Fairy Tales just launched a Kickstarter campaign with the goal of making a documentary film about the Tim Burton Superman film that never came to be. The Death of “Superman Lives”: What Happened? is a Feature Length Documentary about the unmade movie “Superman Lives” – which was announced sometime in late 90s. Nicolas Cage was announced to play the lead as Superman, Kevin Smith was announced as the Writer, and Tim Burton was announced as the Director. But somehow, the film simply never got made.

The Kickstarter goal is to raise $98,000 to fund the making of this Documentary. Schnepp hopes to raise an additional 50k stretch goal so he can recreate a few scenes based on the original script and try to emulate something that we would have seen made in 1998!
