Leslie Cheung Kwok-wing, one of the most influential film actors and singers from Hong Kong, has been gone for 10 years. His charisma on stage is still felt deeply in the hearts of his fans. April 1st is the 10th anniversary of his passing. In memory of and paying tribute to Leslie Cheung, Hot Toys is proud to be the first company to exclusively produce his 1/6th scale Collectible Figure.

The figure will depict Leslie Cheung in his iconic black suit and will come with a director’s chair (since being a movie director is the dream of his life time). This valuable limited edition 1/6th scale Leslie Cheung Collectible Figure will be available at the “Miss You Much Leslie” exhibition in Hong Kong starting from end of March.

Leslie Cheung Kwok-wing (12 September 1956 – 1 April 2003) was a Hong Kong film actor and musician. He was considered as “one of the founding fathers of Cantopop”, and had a hugely successful film and music career, with fans from different parts of the world. In 1993, Leslie Cheung renowned international film scene with “Farewell My Concubine” rewarded Best Actor nomination at the Festival de Cannes, France. In 2000, he was named Asian Biggest Superstar by China Central Television, and voted/ranked the 1st as The Most Favorite Actor in 100 Years of Chinese Cinema in 2005.

In 2010 he was voted the third of the CNN’s “top five most iconic musician of all time” placing behind Michael Jackson and The Beatles.

After seeking to obtain the rights for years and discussions with Leslie Cheung’s manager – Mrs. Florence Chan Suk Fun, Hot Toys finally acquires the official rights to produce the 1/6th scale (12-inch), highly-accurate Leslie Cheung Collectible Figure. Hot Toys is the first company to exclusively launch his collectible figure to the world.
