New Video Interview with Sculptor Tim Bruckner Posted at Monster Model Review

Professional sculptor Tim Bruckner is widely regarded as a formidable talent in the field of toys and statues — particularly for his work with DC Direct, starting with their very first Green Lantern figure and continuing through the DC Dynamics statue series. He’s even written a book outlining his methods, titled “Pop Sculpture: How to Create Action Figures and Collectible Statues.” But how did he come to know what he knows?

A new interview with Tim, conducted by the team at Monster Model Review, breaks down Tim’s 43 years of sculpting experience into a fast-paced 25-minute video. From his childhood in California sculpting wax candy containers through his years in the jewelry, medical supply and movie alligator fields, Tim explains how each stage in his career brought him valuable experience that led him to the place he finds himself today, and also helped make “Pop Sculpture” a reality. Not only is the interview a fascinating tour of the life of a professional sculptor, it’s also an insightful analysis of how knowledge is accumulated, translated and transferred.

The interview is fully illustrated with plenty of shots of Tim’s work from Toy Biz, Kenner, Hasbro, DC Direct and more, including rarely seen prototype pictures, as well as numerous shots of Tim’s studio, located on the Art Farm in Amery, Wisconsin.
